Tribune Partners joined the WORSHIPP campaign by honouring the director of construction giant Buildcorp, Josephine Sukkar, with a boardroom name-plaque in their Sydney CBD headquarters.
Tribune director and founder John Hurst said he and managing director Bo Briedis chose Sukkar because she is a bluechip businesswoman, dedicated philanthropist and committed champion of women in sport. “Josephine is an admirable woman who has been very successful across business, sport and charity. We respect her enormously for what she does, what she has achieved and how she’s done it.”
Hurst said his strategic communications firm joined the WORSHIPP campaign because the workplace was still a very male-dominated area and WORSHIPP had the ability to make significant inroads into creating greater diversity. “Naming rights of public buildings and arts and sporting facilities is still a very male domain,” Hurst said. “WORSHIPP is broadening that out. It is a great initiative which will recognise women at their peak but also women whose contributions have gone unrewarded and left in the background. I hope WORSHIPP will help shine a light on the unsung heroes who are crucial to our communities but who haven’t got the headlines – yet.”
